An exhibition of illustrations by Aleesha Nandhra
Cooking food is a way of sharing space with others while expressing culture and stories. Hounslow is known for being a hub of different communities as well as flavours.
In this exhibition, illustrator Aleesha Nandhra explores the favourite foods that the local community love to cook, eat and share. Everything from old favourites to unusual dishes from around the world are here!
The recipes illustrated here were contributed by the staff at Salisbury café, and people who live nearby on the Meadows estate.

Aleesha is an Illustrator and Printmaker from London. Her works manage to carefully tread the line between being whimsical and emotionally evocative. A graduate of the Cambridge School of Art, Aleesha’s work manages to capture the spirit of several cultural phenomena, be they from home or abroad, and also manages to spark fun and life into objects that are otherwise considered mundane. She continues to create works on a freelance basis for clients including Google, LA Times, The Barbican and more.
