Creative Takeover Days presents, ‘Walk Like a River’ – a fortnightly series of creative workshops at Hanworth Library!
A playful, hands-on workshop series for families to explore art, nature, and imagination together.
Inspired by the movement and history of the River Crane, these fortnightly drop-in workshops invite families to make, imagine, and discover the river’s stories in creative new ways. Led by artist Adrian Shaw, each session turns the library into a space for exploring history, place, and connection through art-making – using drawing, collage, recycled materials, and more.
- Create side-by-side as a family – no art experience needed!
- Explore local nature and history through fun, open-ended activities
- Build personal connections to the River Crane and your neighbourhood
- Relax, create, and express yourselves together in a welcoming space
- Spark conversation and storytelling – building a shared sense of place and belonging
- See the library in a new way as a space for creativity, reflection, and making
These sessions are free – no need to book, just show up on the day!
